Group Math Meeting (10 a.m.) and Whole Class Meeting (12:30 p.m.) today! Remember that you are sharing your favourite pet/stuffie today in our class meeting.
Baking/Cooking Challenge channel is here! Open it up to find out what you have to do! Remember that only Steps 1 and 2 are due for Tuesday. This means you need to have a recipe chosen, have your parent's approval, and have all the supplies you need. Do not bake or cook anything this weekend!
1. Math: Go to the Assignments tab and click on The Coordinate Plane (4 quadrants) card. This week, we have only been working in Quadrant 1, but there are actually 4 quadrants! Negative numbers are introduced, but the rules remain the same when plotting points (x-axis first, then the y-axis). Watch the video carefully and complete the handout. This is due today by 4 p.m. I know I'll see many of you at 10 a.m.
2. Poetry: Thank you for handing in your haiku poems! It's Favourite Poem Friday! This week, I would like you to share one favourite example of a Personification OR Haiku poem that you found online, in the Poetry Channel, or in a book at home... and explain why you like it! This poem must be by a poet who is not yourself, even though your poems are great. Carefully read over the Assignment card titled Favourite Poem Friday #3. This is due today by 4 p.m.
3. News Headline and Free Choice Assignments: Week 5 are due today by 4 p.m. When you have completed your entry, simply click on Assignments tab and attach your work! Then click on "Turn in." Read the Assignment carefully, so you are setting up your news article correctly (Website address, date, paragraph titles)!! Let's get really creative for your Free Choice assignments!!
4. Do three workouts this week. Take a photo of yourself/family and post it on the Physical Education channel. I need some proof!! Thanks to those that have done this. You should post a photo/video at least once per week. Ms. Jones has added a cool challenge for you to tackle on the Physical Education channel. There is also a new daily workout YouTube video (The Body Coach) on the channel!
5. Music: Mrs. Inglis has a new activity for you on her website (see Music channel to the left).
Finished everything? Have you tried completing all the challenges in the Math challenge channel? Have you been working on your French using Duolingo? Have you been improving your typing skills on BBC Dance Mat??
